How Can You Help WildLife?
Here Are Some Ways You Can Help Wildlife!
Please Keep Your Cats Indoors!
The domestic cat was introduced to the US in the 15th – 16th century. They did not evolve along with our native birds and mammals. Therefore, they have no natural defenses against cats. Domestic cats are killing between 1.5 – 4.7 billion birds around the globe. PLEASE keep your cat(s) indoors not only for their safety but for the sake of our birds. 85% of the birds the Center for Wildlife receives are due to cat attacks. Most birds and mammals do not survive the attack. For further information about what you can do to help, please visit the Audubon Society website.
